Coffee Chat: Signage for Positive Guest Behavior

This coffee chat is facilitated by Andrea Vahey at the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park, the current Channel Host of the Signage channel on our discussion board.

Guests sometimes need reminders when there is not a staff member or volunteer nearby. Let’s discuss ways we have created signage to better inform and remind guests how they SHOULD act during their visit. Other than saying “don’t do that,” how can signs be eye-catching, silly, or create a deeper understanding for how our zoo & aquarium animals may be feeling. On the flip side, maybe you need a brainstorm session to help create a sign you need. We will discuss what’s new, what’s working (or not working), and what we need help with when it comes to empathy-based signage directed at visitors. Come ready to share and problem solve!
